The Port of Belledune provides a strategic location in the province of New Brunswick for McKeil to position our marine equipment as well as the port is ideally located to support project cargo movements between the east coast and other locations. The team at the port consistently provides a high level of service and works with us to address the unique challenges and specialized cargoes we carry.
European demand for wood pellets is growing consistently every year; the Port of Belledune is well located to ensure that we reach our target markets through an efficient supply chain. The Port of Belledune not only ships out almost 10% of Canada’s Wood Pellet Exports annually but has seen over 500,000 tonnes exported on 55 vessels since 2008. The Port of Belledune is an ideal export port for wood pellets on the east coast of Canada.
As shipping agents it is our responsibility to ensure the vessel has the most current information possible and that all the proper documentation and procedures are arranged prior to their arrival in port so to ensure the most efficient possible port stay.
